Coins

European currency comes in a variety of coins. The following coins are in use in Europe:

1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, €1 and €2

How To Purchase Euros

Online

Although it takes some time, this method of purchasing money is practical. You have a choice of pick-up locations and, in some cases, delivery options for your order. You can purchase cash, a prepaid Travelex Money Card, or both when placing an order with Travelex!

Office or Home Delivery

Payment options include Bpay and bank transfers.

Depending on where you are, it could take up to 7 days.

Choose from small, medium, large, or mixed coin denominations.

Currency Exchange

The fastest way to obtain money is using this method. Major towns and shopping malls are where you can find them. The exchange rates in your CBD are better than those you'd get farther afield, is our advice. Therefore, if you're exchanging more than $2,000, it would be worthwhile to go there.

Bank

Most banks offer currency exchange. The problem is that they frequently charge exorbitant prices and provide subpar rates. Although it's always wiser to shop around for rates before making a choice, it's generally advisable to stay away from your bank. particularly for a widely used currency like the EUR.

Airport

The answer is that you can purchase currency there. But that does not imply that you must. It's practical, but it's also incredibly pricey. If you're short on time before your trip, it's best to purchase money once you are in Europe or to use your Australian debit card.
